1.Scope
1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheelec-
tricalconductanceofconcretetoprovidearapidindicationof
itsresistancetothepenetrationofchlorideions.Thistest
methodisapplicabletotypesofconcretewherecorrelations
havebeenestablishedbetweenthistestprocedureandlong-
termchloridepondingproceduressuchasthosedescribedin
AASHTO T259.Examplesofsuchcorrelationsarediscussed
inRefs 1-5.
